Application of Health Information System for Alcoholics

Abstract

|
This study was designed to improve application of health information by alcoholics. Data were collected on web-master from May 10, 2001 to May 15, 2001. They were evaluated by the tool. HON(Health on the Net). The tool was constituted by several categorical contents such as CONTENT, AUTHORSHIP, PURPOSE, DESIGN and AESTHETICS, FUNCTIONALITY, FEEDBACK MECHANISM, and PRIVACY.
The findings are as below.
There are 35 cites for alcohol information on web. But only 31.4% of the cites are a special branch of alcohol information.
In categorical evaluation, poor grade percentile of the material are more high than good grade percentile. The poor grade material are 62.9% on the privacy and confidentiality, 68.6% on the reference, 57.1% on the disclosure of sponsors, 48.6% author credentials, and 38.8% at total.
So I’d like to suggest these strategies to improve application of health information system for alcoholics.
First, do change the health information service systems from the provider oriented system to the consumer oriented system.
Second, do improve the accessibility of the internet information service for the alcoholics.
Third, do have a charm on the web-cite of alcohol using the social marketing theory.
